The call
More than a date on the calendar
The ECG International Conference 2028 is a designed event for change. It combines physical presence, co-operative governance, operative sustainability and transdisciplinary synergy — a blueprint for how international gatherings can carry meaningful discourse in a fractured world.
The question for interested institutions is simple: Are you ready to host a holistically transformative multi-stakeholder gathering?
This call is open to universities, research centres and organisations able to lead the preparation and execution of the conference together with the ECOnGOOD Science & Research Hub.

What a candidature is judged on
Co-operative governance
The host institution and the Science & Research Hub steer the conference together, with shared decisions, shared committees and shared credit.
Operative sustainability
Travel, catering, venues and materials are aligned with Economy for Common Good criteria, and the choices are documented rather than assumed.
Financial accountability
A transparent budget, fair fees and an open account of where the money goes — the same standard the Common Good Balance Sheet asks of any organisation.
Transdisciplinary synergy
Researchers, practitioners, civil society and public bodies work on the same questions, in formats designed for exchange rather than broadcast.
